What are Storyblocks' editorial standards?

Editorial use is reserved for content that illustrates a newsworthy event or provides commentary on subjects of human interest (business, arts and culture, technology, etc). Content submitted without a release should depict a specific subject that could be the topic of a news story or piece of commentary.

We do not accept content as editorial content simply because it is not accompanied by a release. The content must specifically meet the editorial standards outlined above. Edits to enhance the visual quality of a piece of editorial content (e.g. color correction) are acceptable, but it is never acceptable to alter them in a way that portrays a subject dishonestly or misrepresents the actual event. Titles and metadata for editorial content must also be true and accurate.
