Assigning earnings potential scoring to in-demand terms and keywords.

Our in-demand pages for video and audio show terms and keywords that customers are searching for the most but are finding little content for in our Storyblocks library. Each month we will be pulling out the terms with the highest opportunity for additional earnings to share with you. For video, this "opportunity score" is out of 100 and is based off of calculations that take into account search volume, search success, existing supply, and earnings potential. For audio, we are highlighting categories and terms that are currently in high demand and are being prioritized for approval in our library. See below for the current lists and some helpful FAQs!

FAQs

Why is this information important?

  • While it is great to know which terms and keywords are in-demand from customers, knowing real earnings potential for a particular keyword will help better inform contributors about where they should be focusing their creative efforts.

How is the opportunity score determined?

  • We use a calculation that takes into account the customer demand of a particular keyword, how often customers find what they are looking for, the amount of content we have in that area, and the potential earnings associated with each keyword based on demand and downloads. This gives us the opportunity score.

How should this information be used?

  • Similar to the in-demand page, these terms can be helpful in determining what types of content have the biggest opportunity for increased earnings. By providing this more detailed information, we hope to help contributors better narrow down which keywords we need additional content for.

Reminders for audio submissions -

  • Please make sure to use the keywords above as tags in your tracks.

  • Please remember that each track with vocals requires an instrumental version to be submitted with it.

  • We do NOT accept tracks that are less than 30 seconds.

  • Please review our technical requirements prior to submitting.

Even Though we will be prioritizing submissions in these categories, we will still be reviewing tracks in other categories.

  • If you believe you have tracks that fit in these categories / keywords, but are not tagged correctly, please update your tags through your dashboards. Tagging helps your tracks to be surfaced correctly!
