You may read the current Contributor License Agreement for footage here, and for audio here. By using our platform, you are agreeing to the terms of the current agreements.

Video and template contributor highlights:

  1. You maintain the copyright to your content. You are giving Storyblocks licensing rights.

  2. All video content licensed through Storyblocks is non-exclusive.

  3. You can remove content any time. All we require is 30 days’ notice.

Music artist highlights:

  1. You maintain the copyright to your content. You are giving Storyblocks licensing rights.

  2. Music licensed through Storyblocks is exclusive. We acquire exclusive licensing, synchronization, and administration rights, but you may still distribute your music through consumer channels such as streaming. You may not utilize sync licensing sources (like Music Gateway) while your tracks are licensed with Storyblocks.

  3. Music tracks are licensed under a 1 year commitment (auto-renewing). You can remove files at the end of the current term, but we require 30 days’ notice.

  4. You cannot submit files that are currently registered to Content ID. We register exclusive music with Content ID and artists earn 60% commission. If a track is removed from our library, it may remain in CID for up to 90 days.
